How We Treat

Our treatment techniques

We select the right combination of hands-on techniques and active rehabilitation based on your condition and goals — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Massage & Soft Tissue Therapy

Targeted soft tissue techniques to reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and support tissue recovery.

Joint Mobilisation & Manipulation

Hands-on techniques to restore joint movement, reduce stiffness, and improve function across the spine and peripheral joints.

Dry Needling

Precise needling of myofascial trigger points to reduce pain, restore movement, and improve muscle function.

Shockwave Therapy

Evidence-based acoustic wave treatment for chronic tendinopathies and persistent soft tissue conditions where other approaches haven't resolved the issue.

NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation)

Electrical stimulation to activate weakened or inhibited muscles — particularly useful in post-surgical and neurological rehabilitation.

Exercise Rehabilitation

Progressive, targeted exercise programs are at the core of all our treatment plans — building strength, control, and long-term resilience.

All treatment decisions are evidence-based and patient-centred. Your physiotherapist will explain the rationale for every technique they recommend and adjust your plan based on your response and goals.

Common questions

How does my physiotherapist decide what treatment to use?

Your treatment plan is guided by your assessment findings, diagnosis, and goals — not a standard protocol. Your physiotherapist will explain the rationale for every technique and adjust based on your response and progress.

Does dry needling hurt?

Most people experience a brief discomfort as the needle contacts the trigger point, followed by a local muscle twitch. It's rarely described as painful. Any discomfort is short-lived, and your physiotherapist will walk you through the process before proceeding.

What is shockwave therapy best suited for?

Shockwave is most effective for chronic tendinopathies that haven't adequately responded to exercise and manual therapy alone. Common applications include Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, patellar tendinopathy, and calcific shoulder deposits.

Is massage alone enough to fix my problem?

Soft tissue work can reduce pain and improve movement in the short term, but it rarely resolves the underlying cause on its own. We combine it with exercise and education to produce lasting results — not just temporary relief.
